Attending Orchard Hills School but Living in Tustin Legacy?

Hi TalkIrvine Community, we're looking to buy a home in Tustin Legacy, and saw that it falls within the TUSD (School of residence is Heritage Elementary).

We would prefer our kids go to Orchard Hills School as we'll most likely move to Orchard Hills in the next 5-7 years and it'd be easier for them.

We've seen that TUSD grants transfer requests to Irvine School District -https://www.tustin.k12.ca.us/upload...2020-21_Transfer_Information_Sheet_-_ENG.pdf.

Question: Has anyone successfully done this?

Orchard Hills School is in TUSD.
So you would only need to apply for an intra-district transfer. OH is pretty full already, especially as they build more and more houses in the Groves, but you might get lucky.

I don't believe IUSD accepts transfers from outside, but it doesn't apply in your case.

Before TUSD opened heritage, Tustin legacy residents got priority for intra-district transfers. I doubt that would be the case now since TL now has its own schools for k - 12

Got it. How would you rate Tustin Heritage Elementary?

We liked it before covid. A lot of team learning.  The remote learning sucked but now things are better with in person even though it?s only half time.
