Is the entire class for the College Park student going online to quarantine as well? Same question with the six or more classes the Woodbridge student would have attended.

You can see these kids are not socially distancing at school with no real way of enforcing them to do so unless they are kicked off campus into an online class/classes for the semester. It’s gong to be messy as these are the only two cases that have been made public; others are not reported, but hopefully not hidden.

in the HS I hear they contacted only those that had reserved seats within 6 feet, not the entire class and not the teacher.

It’ll be up to the families to check for themselves. It’s too much of a liability for schools to contact trace. The students do not social distance between classes and during practices. IUSD would rather claim ignorance. If a family tests positive, the school won’t make a connection to it since they don’t have a backup plan and they aren’t testing students or employees.
