What is typically done for low water pressure issue?
My unit is a 2005 construction, is it normal to experience low pressure due to build up at this age?

No, not at all.  There's no "build up" to be expected in copper water pipes.  Sometimes there can be debris in the faucets that impede the flow.  A cleaning can do wonders.  E.g., unscrew the aerator on all faucets and clean the crap off.    If it's low pressure everywhere, including the outdoor hose spigots, check to see if the meter valve is open all the way or if the pressure regulator needs to be adjusted.  Check with your neighbors too to see if their pressure is low.

Typical water pressure should be between 40-80 psi.  Water pressure can be adjusted via the water pressure regulator near the main water shutoff valve. Low water pressure could be a sign of a leak, including a slab leak.
