Stainless steel is standard.  White ceramic is optional.  Does anyone have experience with the white ceramic?  Does it crack easily when you accidentally drop plates, utensils, cups?

It doesn?t crack (not for me at least), it?s more like scratch or worn out look but only if you?re not careful.  Also not with plates, utensils, cups, more like if you drop or not careful with large items like pots and pans, and cast iron items...

Stainless steel is a bit more forgiving if you drop dishes as it's more flexible. On ceramic it has a higher chance to break.

Fireclay is a type of ceramic. I have one by Shaw?s in my kitchen right now. It came with a small chip on the overhang ledge but hasn?t grown in the four years I?ve lived here. I have a metal rack on the bottom which keeps it from getting banged up.
