Mortgages for foreigners

Hi, I am wondering if anyone have any contact who can do mortgages for foreigners with a working visa (H1B) who want to buy homes in Southern California? Thank you for any references.

Just about every Bank / Mortgage Banker will fund mortgage loans for H1-B Visa holders.

A Foreign National is someone who is in the country for a short window of time (3 or more months) but unable to work legally. Most traditional lenders are not able to fund these transactions, but there are portfolio and private lenders willing to fund loans to borrowers of this nature.

The big key here is credit scores and history. Many non-US residents have very limited credit histories. There are a few niche products that can be used with little or no credit history, but they often have low loan limits and significant down payment requirements. Best to have your credit pulled as soon as you begin to consider buying a home as it will help a buyer avoid problems early.

Hope this helps!
