Two Former Orange County Deputies Plead Guilty in Evidence Booking Scandal

Two former Orange County sheriff’s deputies accused of making multiple false statements in police reports about whether evidence was booked were charged with one misdemeanor each, pleaded guilty, and will not serve jail time or pay a fine, prosecutors announced Monday.

Deputy Bryce Simpson made false statements in 74 different police reports about whether evidence was booked, the DA’s office said earlier this year. Deputy Joseph Atkinson was also found to have made false statements about booking evidence.

It’s a felony under state law for a law enforcement officer to knowingly make a false statement in police report.

Under their plea deals with the Orange County District Attorney’s office, the two former deputies were each charged with one misdemeanor count of willful omission to perform an official duty, with sentences of one year of informal probation.

When tax protestors claim the U.S. has no jurisdiction over them, the liberals clamor for the federal govt to smite them down but Seattle's mayor is telling the feds no smiting the CHAZ allowed. I don't think Seattle's mayor can stop US intervention, just ask Jefferson Davis.
If Seattle dwellers vote for completely insane liberals, they probably deserve to be CHAZ'ed all over the city

This is crazy. This whole society thing works based on the premise of consequences. You break the rules you pay the consequences.

If too many people deviate from this system it all falls apart. I may as well go get some additional guns and more ammo now.

At some point we need to stop being PC and lay down the law.

Car cameras and inexpensive mini body cameras might be the solution. (I saw an inexpensive mini cam the size of a eraser for $10-20. Idk about the quality.)

so let me get this straight...a group of mostly white people create their own xenophobic territory where they build walls to keep outsiders from coming in and ban the media...sounds familiar...

I would say it's not yet too late to resolve this. It's been going for too long already

LAPD OFFICER CHARGED WITH ASSAULT AFTER VIDEO SHOWS HIM PUNCHING SUSPECT IN BOYLE HEIGHTS

A Los Angeles Police Department officer who was seen on camera repeatedly punching a trespassing suspect in Boyle Heights with little apparent provocation has been charged with assault, according to the district attorney's office.

The LAPD on Tuesday released a statement referring to the video of the confrontation as disturbing the department said it has cooperated with the DA's office in the investigation and Hernandez has been stripped of all police powers and has been assigned home.

My comment: lucky thing there was a by standard taping it. It shows that the suspect complied with his hands behind his back and then the cop straight up beats him up.

Latino cop vs latino guy (just saying, it looks like it in the video)

Rand Paul: 'No place' for feds 'rounding people up at will' in Portland

The Department of Homeland Security has deployed the forces to the city over the objections of local and state officials, with both President Trump and acting Deputy Homeland Security Secretary Ken Cuccinelli saying they could take similar steps in other U.S. cities in coming weeks.

Watch out for the federal secret police with no identification. They arresting or shall I say rounding up people with no probable cause driving in unmarked mini vans. Sounds like an ice raids on American citizens.

Wow. It gets better. Through the congressional testimony with William Barr. The federal government has technology to listen to phone call if you are in front of the court house. (without a warrant)
