Here are some Restaurants you can Support While on Lockdown

I am fortunate that my family was able to transition to work from home during coronageddon. I am also fortunate that although our family's trip to mexico was canceled for spring break, we were able to get most of the money refunded. And so now, we are looking to spend some of that vacation money at local businesses, around town. It is great seeing how different businesses are creatively solving these problems.

Note that while you can get some great deals here, I recommend splurging for a cocktail or two, as that is how many of these restaurants pay the bills.

Vaca Spanish Cuisine The wife and I have been to the restaurant on date night, but it's a little cramped for our family of 5. But now they are selling complete dinners (and cocktails, natch!) for 4 or 8. We ordered the Paella and the Charcuterie board for 4, and this was *way* more food than our family of 5 could eat. The paella came with 2 sides and a salad, and we probably have enough left over for a complete dinner this week. Cocktails say they are "3 servings" but I'd say they are more like two generous servings. Order early in the day, as takeout times fill up!

Website: https://www.online.vacarestaurant.com/ NOTE: If you order something, then try to check out it may give you an error saying some items are unavailable. This means, "change the pickup time". They are limiting quantities per-hour so they don't get backed up.

The Cut: These guys have decent burgers and sides, but I have always been impressed with their service and friendliness. Where possible I try to support them. Go on their facebook page, and you can order all sorts of bulk, wholesale stuff for delivery each week- from hand sanitizer to frozen ground beef. You can also order brunch from them. I had the nashville hot sandwich with a fried egg on it, and a double mimosa. Not as good as eating on site, but we do what we must. I recommend finding their Facebook page to get the latest status.

Newport Meat This is a local meat distributor for the restaurants, and on friday April 3, they will be opening their doors to the public. A look at their order menu on their website (http://www.newportmeat.com/)...well it isn't that impressive. Given that they claim to supply prime, aged and wagyu among other items to restaurants, I'll be swinging by to see if they have more to offer on Friday.

Edit: Almost forgot:
Farmhouse at Roger's Gardens - Offering curbside takeout from their menu including family meals, but ALSO: Curbside market with pickled veggies, fresh soup stock, and veggies. And coolest of all, Premix cocktails including the "Quarentini, Too Soon?" - no, Farmhouse. Not too soon at all.
