I've upped my mask game... started using 5-layer KN95 over the 3-layer surgical masks.

A dumb relative of mine uses see through mesh masks just so they can go into stores/locations that require masks... must not be blood related... or a genetic variant.

So when you take that off your face, you know your hands will have on them whatever was on the mask. Maybe make sure to get your hands completely clean, open the door to your house with the side of your hand and then kick it open the rest of the way with your foot. Immediately wash your hands again. Don't touch your hair or clothes cuz they might be contaminated. Wait.......... strip down in the garage before you come in the house.

Even then u might still get it but not to worry cuz your vaxxed so you might not even know and basically only the unvaxxed are in danger anyway.

You forgot to do the anal bleaching.

On a serious note, I upped my game to KN95 that we have.  I reuse it for a limited amount and tend to leave it in the car in the sun when not in use.

I primarily focus on not touching my nose, mouth and eyes when out and using the mask to limit exposure to airborne when indoors to mitigate viral load through time or mask.

Of the large number of acquaintances with positive tests, all but one are going grrrrrrrrrr about their infection vector because someone in their opinion was being a dumb*ss.  The one who isn’t is like how.

Science before COVID shows N95 not more effective than regular surgical mask

@iho
Is mask as effective as you are led to believe?
2019. No misinformation here. A lot of scientific researches before COVID, as recent as 2019, don't fit the current Covid narrative. Does science change or politics get involved? Just like they redefined vaccine for the current leaky, not as effective (vs traditional def of vaccine like Polio) 1st generation Covid vaccine.

Sooo,... it's comparing masks?

I was expecting about the opposite of what jama is showing, opposite of below:

It's not paranoia, it's public health safety,

Just like people shouldn't DUI, drive above the speed limit, obey city laws and ordinances... etc etc.

Science doesn't really change... our perception, experience or knowledge of it does.

Was the earth flat? Did the sun revolve around the earth?

Nature, on the other hand, does change (did you watch Loki yet?)... so we use science to accommodate for that.

Some people never change... and that could be the bigger problem.

The telltale on that is the low adherence to use numbers.  if under 70% are saying always (and let's be honest, pre-2019, always  was likely 'often').

It's also primarily flu-based illnesses, the study publish date is 2019 which is before covid even hit.  Pre-2020, many medical staff were largely cavalier about the flu.

Overall, JIMHO, the best mask will the be the highest filtration one that fits you, you wear and don't fidget with.

Tenured Michigan professor threatens to sue college after he was suspended for calling students 'vectors of disease' in profanity-laced video while wearing an astronaut-style helmet AND mask

Dr. Barry Mehler says the video was meant to get his students' 'juices flowing'
His lawyer says Ferris State is violating his contract and his free speech rights
Mehler posted a controversial pre-semester video on Youtube on Sunday
He called students 'vectors of disease' and admonished any who planned to show up to in-person classes
He also said their grades were pre-determined because they weren't 'good enough to earn an A' in his class
Ferris State suspended the 30-year tenured professor this week
