Tesla Powerwalls v2

Does anyone have any experience with the Tesla Powerwalls (v2)? My solar units generate excess energy and I would like to prepare for an outage given SoCalEdison's monopoly of the grid. Trying to understand if the Powerwalls are a good option to power the house on peak hours as well, to reduce my consumption on the grid. Thanks!

see the following link:
https://www.tesla.com/support/energy/powerwall/mobile-app/time-based-control

most important section is under cost savings - behavior:

Powerwall will charge from excess solar during off-peak and shoulder (if required).
Powerwall will discharge during peak and discharge in other periods to ?make room? for solar based on energy forecast.

Little over $10k, pre-tax incentive.  It never makes economic sense.  Only for people who are at risk of outages.

I can get a natural gas generator for less than that.
