Metrolink has finally adjusted their Orange County line schedule for the early morning train from Union Station.
Train 682 will depart LA Union Station at 6:26AM and arrive in Irvine station at 7:35AM. 4 shuttle routes are provided to take you to your office in nearby areas.
Previously the train departs later and arrives in Irvine around 8AM, which means you cannot make it to the office in Irvine by 8. I had to adjust all my meetings to 8:30AM or later. This was one reason why many commuters could not take the train.
Train 682 from Union Station will stop at Norwalk, Buena Park, Fullerton, Anaheim, Orange, Santa Ana, Tustin, Irvine, and ending at Mission Viejo (7:50AM). If you work in Irvine but would prefer to live elsewhere, you can consider looking at homes near the train stations coming from LA.
