Negotiate with your Real Estate Agent

As a first time buyer. What can you negotiate with your Real Estate Agent?
Cover Closing cost? Pay portion or their commission?
Can someone give me ideas.

 
Seller typically pays the commission to both agents (yours and theirs).

Don't you already own a house?  You were asking about planting an olive tree in your front yard last year.

Of course you can negotiate with a buyer agent to provide you a rebate to help cost most all/all of your closing costs.  I do so without negotiating since I've been doing buyer commission rebate from day 1.  It helps that I don't have a broker in pocket taking a % of my commission.
 
Thank you USCTrojanCPA. Momopi Yes i do own a home. this question was for a friend who is first time home buyer and gave an offer on the home but havent negotiated anything with the agent yet.

I would advise for that friend to negotiate any rebate with the agent before an offer is accepted.
