TUSD at Orchard Hills

Hi, I notice that certain gated areas at OH belongs to the TUSD. Kids go to Orchard Hills School (K-8) and then Beckman (9-12). Could anyone comment on that? How does these schools compare to those in the IUSD? Thanks.

All depends if you want your kid in TUSD or IUSD.

Thats something I don't know and are getting information to decide on.

It?s all a game. (Sounds funny but true)
What is the end game of HS? Does your kid have a better chance getting into a good college if they go to Beckman or Portola HS? (idk)

Not a walk in a park. The kid has to do study and excel. If not, I don?t know. But definitely don?t blame me. If your kid doesn?t get into a good college. (All I have to say study hard, get a tutor)

The IUSD/TUSD schools in that area are very similar.

Honestly, I don't think its going to make that much of a difference for your kids whether they are in one or the other. You should go off which house/location you like better.

I will post a comparison of the IUSD schools zoned for the other portions of Orchard Hills.

Might be an easier path through TuSD. (It?s like March Madness. A college might get an easier bracket to the final four)

At the end of the day. Employers and graduate schools don?t really care what high school you went to.

TUSD is not comparable to IUSD...Beckham and OH/Peters Canyon however are very comparable to IUSD equivalent.  Beckham is at Northwood level test score wise.

Tustin is also planning a magnet school at the new development in the District so I presume that Beckham will lose a lot of its best students.

In the end, the school district is really about selling your home..not really the academics.

Marketing Irvine houses in Asia puts a premium on IUSD zoned houses.  Even if you get the same education for both, IUSD will get a premium due to the hype.

All I?m trying to say. Be ready for the competitiveness at ____ school district.

All of the homes within The Groves in Orchard Hills are zoned to TUSD (the best Tustin school which are on par with Irvine schools).

There?s nothing wrong going the junior college route. Just got to be focused and make sure your on track.

Also, consider being a licensed blue collar worker. (I don?t know the term) Such as electrician, hvac, elevator repair..

I had someone repair my ac a couple months ago or longer. (Let?s say 3-6 months ago.)
They charged a grip for changing a fuse. That part cost like $20 -$40 on amazon.

Their billing rate was rediculous.

I'm guessing the part that got changed was the capacitor.  This is the most common repair item on an AC unit.  The part costs $10-$40 depending on brand (look for Made in USA one.  There are made in China and Mexico ones also).  Takes about 5 minutes to change.  It's also a smart idea to just change this part proactively since it's so cheap and quick to change.  I've had co-workers tell me they paid $400-$500 for the service (including parts).  But this was during a heat wave.

on a per hour basis, I think licensed trades like plumber/electrician/HVAC makes more than doctors.
Why bother killing yourself to go to medschool and end up with all that debt, all that liability?

In that sense, university professors might have the highest pay per hour...

Good realtors in expensive markets also make high hourly rates and you don't even need a high school diploma (sad but true).

Nah...professors do research outside of classes...the classes are just afterthought....some professors love it...others hate it.
