UC Irvine most popular UC campus among California high school students applying

That's great, and pretty surprising to me. We have a few ex-UCI folks at our small biz, so it's a definite boon to the community.

Boon to the community?  I've never lived in a university "town" that is so disconnected from its university.

You're right, UCI doesn't have a great college town environment. What do you think would help?

At the same time, my business I am frequently hiring for people with a scientific or research background. It's great to have a source of local candidates.

I also like that I can drop in for lectures, read an esoteric journal article in the Science Library, and run into random professors.
