Asian-American gender academic gap

I am curious about the breakdown of recent immigrants versus those who have been in the US for awhile...also using AA as a demographic is somewhat misleading considering Chinese/Koreans/Japanese are very different from Hmongs and Vietnamese.

Boys are wired to want to run, jump, swim, climb, touch, explore, push, etc.  Forcing them to sit at a desk all day is against instincts.

There's a recent Korean drama titled "Sky Castle" (currently on-air) about parents pushing their kids to be academically successful at any cost.  I think it's on Netflix international, but subtitled versions are avail online at other sources.  I highly recommend it.

There is also a Taiwanese series on Netflix that is Black Mirror-esque and deals with parents' insane drive to make their kids successful.
