Correction in the Tax Records

As per the appraisal, we have 100+ sqft in our house compared to what it in the Tax records with OC assessor. I believe when you goto Redfin/zillow?MLS etc, they pull this info directly from assessor's record. Should we request to make a change? If so, how? 100+ SQFT in Irvine is easily 40K at min

I wouldn't worry too much about + - ~100 sqft of living space.

Just enjoy your house. Make it liveable and put the upgrade in with proper tastes. This will affect your list price more when it comes to resell.

And when you do resell, you can add the appropriate sqft that you believe is correct to your realtor.
