Ja Jiaozi

Very pricey, went there last week with 2 other people. The bill came out to 86 dollars after tax and tip. Good quality however the prices need to come down.

You're basically paying for upscale dining environment here, somewhat like dining at restaurants inside department stores in Asia.

This is the kind of restaurants I'd take my in-law's, but not for everyday lunch.

Went with family two weeks ago.
It was definitely pricey. The food was just above average which was a bit disappointing considering the price.
If you like Ding Tai Fung flavors (Taiwanese), you probably would not like Ja Jiaozi as much since the flavor is much more mainland Chinese.

We got two menus at Ja Jiaozi - with different prices.

Thankfully we were charged the lower prices without asking for it.

Is it possible the prices have come down, maybe?

If you value your time highly, and JJ has no wait (restaurant was half empty when I went around Saturday dinner time) it's possible that this is the best dumpling choice around. The wait, parking, and ambiance I would all rate higher than my experience at DTF or A&J. I realize those two restaurants are very different, but they would be my first places in mind for dumplings.
