And on this “left wing” paranoia that is the new mantra for GOP and faux news —

there are two pretty distinct strains of left politics that tend to get conflated together —

One is welfare state expansion (free college, Medicare for all, etc) and there’s good evidence it’s popular in poll after poll .

But the *other* face of left politics is stuff like radical anti-war, “abolish ICE,” and there isn’t any evidence that stuff is popular

Smart candidates focus on the former , not the latter if they want to win

While GOP superpac ads , Fox News and AM talk radio , focus exclusively on the latter

We will only find out in November .

Then we will know if “pop” (or “boom”) goes the weasel :)

The problem is this guy falls into both categories. He is as far left as they come and has a ton of his own corruption baggage to boot...He's all yours.

platform that includes Medicare for All, abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in its current form, a $15-per-hour minimum wage, and corporate tax hikes to fund education.

Florida Democratic activists love Andrew Gillum. They seem oblivious to the investigation.
One Democratic candidate for governor draws big crowds in Tampa Bay. A public corruption investigation looms over him.

Trump isn't under investigation.  Comey confirmed that in his testimony to Congress.

Trump warned, if mid term election lost to the Dems, "there will be violence and the Dems will move very fast to overturn everything"

I hope the blue wave will come crash on his boat. Remove the 10K cap deduction is what I like to happen among all the other things that he claimed he done well.

Winning trade war is easy and give the corporate farmers 12 Billion bail out.

Trump supporters wouldn't stand a chance against the libs in any sort of violent encounter. White senior citizens vs. young, tough, dangerous Antifa and MS-13; it's no contest.

I can’t keep track of which thread was people up in arms about “dog whistles”  but below example is correct usage for those still struggling with proper usage of this phrase .

FLORIDA — Ron DeSantis  goes on TV and calls Gillum "articulate" and says he "performed well" during debates, but that we don't need to "monkey this up" by electing Gillum

Looks like DeSantis is already he is off to a good start w the MAGA base and some people here ...

btw, that headline is fake news and the actual quote is:

"The last thing we need to do is to monkey this up by trying to embrace a socialist agenda with huge tax increases and bankrupting the state.”

far from saying "monkey this up by voting for a black guy"

next.

“Articulate” “Socialist” “Monkey”

Oh, it’s not a dog whistle.

It’s a screaming 80 foot, flashing neon sign : )

I still think you guys are defending it wrong — it actually works to your side’s advantage . By making this about tribalism . Clearly there are far more retirees with free time and cable remote in their hands who will be whipped into rage by your reliable media machine in a few weeks — and conveniently play the victim to another mainstream media conspiracy

Just own it and be proud . After all  Kaos is already calling the election for the klan a full 2.5 months in advance : )

Was Barack whistling loudly here?

“I come from Chicago. It’s not as if it’s just Republicans who have monkeyed around with elections in the past. Sometimes Democrats have, too. You know, whenever people are in power, they have this tendency to try to tilt things in their direction.”

Trump and cult members gushing over 4.2 percent gdp growth in 2nd quarter .

No expert said a quarter of 4.2% growth "couldn't be done."

it was done in four different quarters under President Obama, with one difference

growth in those four quarters was higher - 4.5%, 4.7%, 4.9%, 5.1%  !

Cult members have a hard time dealing w math and mean reversion . That number is coming down below 4 again by the way , in third quarter . Just watch .

ah, obama, the savior of our economy  :)

Quote
Household Income Jumps To All-Time Highs Under Trump — Why Isn't This Big News?

Economy: Median household income is up more than 4%, the economy is growing fast, optimism is at decades long highs. Not that you'd know it, since the press is too busy trying to drive President Trump from office.

Inflation-adjusted median household incomes in July hit $62,450 according to the latest release from Sentier Research. That's the highest level since Sentier started tracking this more than 18 years ago. And if you combine Sentier's numbers with annual Census data, median household income is at all-time highs.

More interesting is the fact that median household income has shot up more than 4% in the 19 months since Trump took office. It had been flat over the previous year and a half. Over the course of President Obama's entire eight years in office, median household income climbed a mere 0.3%, Sentier data show.

Overall economic growth is accelerating as well, after years of Obama-induced stagnation. On Wednesday, the Commerce Department boosted its estimate of Second Quarter growth to 4.2%. That means average growth for first half of the year was above 3%. And if it continues strong in the third quarter — as appears to be the case — chances are we will see growth for the entire year at or above 3%. That would be the first time since 2005.

The only response is copying and pasting clickbait articles

When you can’t argue or refute w logic ...

And people wonder why TI traffic is down  : )

What is wage income growth recently adjusted for inflation ? Does anyone know  ?  (and please no dailycaller or Drudge Report links) .
