Fecal transplant shows early promise against autism

It's wild that we know so little about the gut. Need a lot more research here.
 
At first read, I thought it was 'fetal' transplant.  :eek:

Wow. Great article. It actually does make sense in a way because the central nervous system does have some control over gastric motility, which is why they say a lot of people that have IBS for instance can be cured with anti-depressants.

Will be interesting to see in future years if they can find a 100% cure for this and other symptoms related to the Autism Spectrum, and SPD. (Sensory processing disorder)

The original slogan, "Milk does a body good" is actually a lot more fitting here!

This is one reason why breastfeeding is so important. There are articles online about how it's been found that the mother's milk colonizes the baby's gut with the good bacteria. The mother's body has cells that escort it from her own digestive system, through the milk, to the baby. Same thing with a natural delivery vs. c-section. As the baby makes his way through the birth canal, he is exposed to & receiving the necessary bacteria. God knew what He was doing when intelligently designing our bodies and their natural processes. It is fascinating.
