FluMist

Got my kid the FluMist this year, first time, always had the regular flu shot prior.  It was pretty easy.  Showed her what to expect here:

Called her pediatricians office on a random day off, flushot is being allocated, they offered the flumist instead.  No egg allergy and no history of asthma so she is qualified for the mist.  Able to walk in the same day to get her flu vaccine.  Kid was really cool with the whole thing:  no crying, no complaining, no sore arm, no tantrums.  And she still gets her sticker and lollipop.  She's requesting the flumist again next year.  Yes it costs more ($60) but worth the convenience.

Also recent studies show children respond better to the mist than the regular shot:

Heard stories from friends who also got the flumist and the kids got really sick.  But so far so good for my kid, mild runny nose, not too bad.
