Fifty-eight Orange County elementary schools have been named California Distinguished Schools ? the top honor for schools in the state and the most ever named in the county during a single year.
The Orange County campuses are among 424 elementary schools named as California Distinguished Schools as announced by state Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson on Wednesday.
