Roof Tile Work

Well, I am in my new house and I saw a few broken tiles which need to be replaced. I had a roofer out today and he said I have 60 tiles which need to be replaced and the tiles I happen to have on my house are 1" longer than standard size. Due to the 1" extra length, the tiles cost $5.00 each rather than $1.50 each. So with parts (90 tiles) and labor, he wants $1400.00 to do the work. Not sure about the non-standard tiles story and it also seems a bit pricey to pay almost a grand to have someone swap out 60-70 broken tiles.
What do you guys think?

Give it a shot yourself. Sounds like worse case you'll end up hiring the guy to do 60 or 70 tiles if you screw up.

No, roofs are pretty basic but I do know a process to massively increase your satisfaction with the kitchen.
