Title: Covid-chella
Post by: irvinehomeowner on June 18, 2020, 09:10:33 AM
Credit to Jimmy Fallon for that one.

So for the Trump rally in OK, the campaign wants the supporters to accept waivers for liability in regards to Covid-19:

https://events.donaldjtrump.com/events/tulsa-oklahoma-rally-june-20

Quote
By attending the Rally, you and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and agree not to hold Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.; BOK Center; ASM Global; or any of their affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, or volunteers liable for any illness or injury.”

The only problem is, I don't believe a waiver against a still unknown pandemic that has no vaccine is enforceable.

Any lawyers here?

Don’t bother with this question. Lawyers will tell you everything is enforceable and unenforceable at the same time. No offense to any lawyers on here :-)

Considering the long and varying incubation period, how is it possible to prove beyond the reasonable doubt in the court of the law that an individual got infected at the particular place at the particular time?

So then why need the waivers? :)

Simply to cut down frivolous lawsuits and local government overreach. It's pretty much the same reason why many companies implemented the daily temp check and symptom survey for the in-office workers.

Don't need to.  It would be a civil matter.

As much as I would hope that there is no increased spike in infections due to this event... it seems inevitable.

Still not sure why this event needs to happen without more safety protocols.

You still have to prove your stance in front of a judge. The defendant's lawyer will crush all the accusations. Next, the judge will find those frivolous and the plaintiff will have to pay the defendant's legal fees.

6 campaign staffers test positive:

And looking at videos, no distancing and few masks. :(

If there is no big outbreak, then trump is right and we don't need masks.
If there is a big outbreak, then trump is wrong and we do need masks.

Let the experiment commence!

The Trump campaign will be handing out masks at the rally. But it is optional for the crowd to wear the mask. It is a joke! Lol

Well what we know is the protests didn't cause any spikes in coronavirus cases (tracers were told to NOT ask if anyone getting tested at been at any protests).

Of course we know that anyone getting tested WILL be asked if they were at the trump rally.

Easy to manipulate the data when the questions are altered. Why bother trying to trace if you don't want to know the facts?

Dr. Anthony Fauci said Wednesday that news of National Guard members in Washington, D.C., getting infected with the illness caused by the coronavirus while activated to respond to massive protests in the city in recent weeks is disturbing, but is not surprising.

How many hoax signs will people display at the rally? Lol

At some point we're going to have to believe in something because otherwise, the world is flat.
Let's see the covid numbers on 06.27.2020

So this site seems reliable:

We'll check it again in a week.

You're clearly a force to be reckoned with in terms of legal knowledge.  Two home runs in 1 thread!

The positive? At least there will be less people to spread Covid.

Reports are 2 Secret Service also tested positive... maybe Trump should start wearing a mask. :)
