Sounds like a vent alone does not help the issue. You need a fan to help circulate the air. Opening the garage door and back door helps air flow but I would be worried about rodents getting in.

Picked a maple wood that Venetian did not carry the brand anymore. They only install wood brands that they carry. Most of them were very expensive and or traditional colors. Went with OC Flooring on Jamboree and Bristol.
