Could be.
Though with this nationalist movement there will definitely be more jobs coming back home (even Apple is researching manufacturing the iPhone here). Where is the best place to do business in SoCal? Arguably Irvine.
Lots of factors make Irvine a solid bet. I don't see it losing any...
Sterling should be opening next week. Does anything have any thoughts on this?

Just a rough calculation, taxes + Mello + HOA's on a $595K home in that neighborhood will be roughly $975.00/month. That means to have a...
I was really hip on Willow until I realized the major neighborhood design flaw. Not only is it on the toll road which roars quite a bit, the neighborhood street layout is totally flawed.
You can't entire it from Irvine Blvd in any way. You need to go all the way up Sand Canyon to Portola and...
Seriously. Theres a lot of development going on, but LA still has all sorts of 3rd-world pockets. I believe as President Trump comes to power that will force illegals living throughout the country to flee to sanctuary states/cities. That will make Santa Ana & all of LA even worse than they are...
That Baker Ranch product does look really nice.
The hard part for me personally is my work is based around Downtown LA, and that's even further south than Irvine. Why don't I buy nearer to LA you ask? I hate it up there.
Oh man I would have been all over that! I guess I should say nothing on the market at this moment.
For sure. I'd bet most people leaving deposits on these places haven't calculated the monthly tax+HOA costs. It makes these homes unattainable. One day eventually the park will be done, and...
Ya honestly I've pulled back already from my Rowland decision... The taxes+HOA are just too damn high. I'm blown away that anyone else is able to drop that kind of dough on condo units.
But of course now I'm attached to the greatness of the Great Park.
Been looking around for new homes in this price range, they're pretty hard to find! Looks like Sterling will be coming online sometime soon, but who knows how those will actually be priced...
The taxes + HOA really are quite ridiculous... But there is nothing else (decent) in Irvine for that same price ($640K).
Taxes + HOA on their smallest unit come out to $1362.00/month! Thats before you even tackle the mortgage.
To get the entire payment to something reasonable ($2800/month?)...

They're selling the last phase and I'm considering jumping on one of their units. It would be my 1st Irvine purchase (yes I've worked out the obscene taxes/mello/HOA's).
Curious to...
