Spa pump motor replacement?

When my in ground spa pump is on for 'circulating/cleaning' (low speed), it is pretty loud.  I can hear it from 3-4 houses down the street.  When I put the pump on high for 'spa time'  it is like putting your head next to a racing engine and you can hear it around the block.  I did some research and I think the bearings are going.
I found a rebuilt B979 (Century) pump motor for $225.  Is that good to get?  A new one is about $450.
So the question is should I replace the B979 pump motor with the same unit or get a different one and rework some piping and replace the 'wet' side of the pump?
What other parts do I need to replace?  The pump is leaking as well so I heard the shaft seal needs to be replaced.  What else?
