US News college rankings

CalState Fullerton, HELL YEASS.. that's what I'm talkin' about..

IHS would say it's because of all the Asian rejects from IUSD who are raising CSUF's incoming freshman GPA/SAT.

It must be all those new parking garages they built in the past few years.  Makes people smarter when they can actually get to class.

Some colleges did really well in the US News and not so well in Forbes. Colleges can focus on improving their data for one but rarely for both. Parents should compare both and choose schools consistently ranked similarly for the last 6 years. Weed out the inconsistent colleges. The misleading aspect of US News is the National Colleges are separated from the Liberal Arts and the Regional schools are also ranked separately. This gives the illusion of schools achieving a much higher ranking status. There are 6 colleges with #1 ranking.  A good example is Chapman University ranked #238 in Forbes and #5 in US News.
