Temecula/Murrieta Home Buying & Prices

It's been awhile since I posted here, but I have a family member considering the Temecula/Murrieta area for buying, so I am back. I took a quick look at some of the properties for sale there, and many are at or below $200sf which I remember was a basic metric I read about a decade ago. Like last bubble, different areas were impacted differently, so I am wondering what impact a bubble burst would have on the Temecula/Murrieta area and what everyone things about home prices now vs potentially then?

She is pretty crazy. 
Spend $400 more in gas per month to save $400/month and then waste half your life in traffic...

I know someone who did that, but he did a 5am-2pm schedule so that he could beat traffic.  Still a long drive, though.
