Am I marketing it? LOL! No.

I do think it's wrong for the state schools to pass up California residents because they pay less tuition and along with health care, tuition is getting out of hand.
 
This actually looks like a good program.

It allows UCI to accept more local students at a discount to them and puts them into leadership training classes while at the same time not overcrowding the main campus.

Hopefully this is around when my kids are older.

The article mention above states, "taught by accredited instructors in the Division of Continuing Education during their freshman year."

Does that mean the students will not be taught by regular professors? The price cut makes perfect sense then.

Does that matter as long as the credits count?

You don't really need "regular" professors until upper division courses anyways.

Your first 2 years in college is mostly general education... which is why the JC then UC route makes even more sense.
