I think the only Irvine store is Alakazam in the Airport Business Center (they used to be across from UCI).

We went to Comic Quest in Lake Forest and bought some First Issue reprints for $1 each.

In Tustin, Comics Toons N' Toys on Newport/Main is where my kids use to go when they were into comics.
