So how much cash money can you swing if you liquidate everything (retirement, stocks, house, etc.) and go homeless?  Forget tax liabilities and penalites to keep it simple (pretend you're going expat or something).  If I liquidate everything, I can cruise around the world for 5 straight years!

I use mint.com to tally up my total.

Sounds like so far you can only treat 1,000 of your friends to a Disney annual pass.

I have this bad car habit (everyone has a vice, right?).  It's even requiring me to look for a 3-car garage home.

I use Quicken but only have my home valued at what I paid & put in to it.

That aside, my net worth at the moment is something like this:

Cash minus short term debt: 0%
Home equity 65%
401k/IRA 30%
529 college savings: 3%
Other assets: 2%

more than 1000 Disney passes; break down

Cash minus short term debt -> 14%
Home Equity -> 33%
401k -> 10%
Stocks/Investment Accounts -> 40%
