Government/City High Salaries

People always talk about corruption in China. What they don't talk about is the legal corruption system here. It's really amazing.

All I have to say about China:
- the alleged hacking of US companies and government (from what I read)
- the devaluation of the currency
- reliability of China economic data
 
We have fairly trustworthy news sources.  In China you can't believe a thing your read or hear.  The only way to know if something is true is to research it yourself.

So an independent news source is important for government legitimacy & the western world has that.  Russia, China, and the middle east...not so much.

Anyone who wants to censor the internet is against Western ideals.
