water filtration system/chlorinated water

chlorine helps sanitize. my rec would be installing RO in your kitchen sink + optional chlorine shower filters. basically you want to keep chlorine in your pipes as much as possible.

I have a LifeSource water system and I'm very pleased with it. My son has fish and when he cleans his tank, he just uses the water straight from the tap without treating it.

Am wondering if TI members have any recommendations for home water filtration system.

I have lived in Irvine apartments for the last couple years and have dealt with highly chlorinated water coming out of the tap. I've heard that Irvine water comes from processed sewage water, so perhaps that accounts for the need for chlorination. Have any of you had experienced this chlorination with older homes or with new construction? If so, has the water filtration system you used been effective? Thanks!

Do the test yourself. Mine was clean.  I just use refrigerator filtered water.
