Back painted glass kitchen back splash

We are upgrading our new home and really like the contemporary look of "back painted glass kitchen backsplash".  Does anyone have such backsplash?  What are the pros and cons?  Would you recommend it? 

It looks nice "now", but how about 5 years from now when you might sell your home. Are you adding value to the kitchen w/ that glass? To me it's a toss up, questions that come up to my mind: is it hard to clean after you cook, do you have to windex/clean it often like a window?

Also, is that something potential buyers might like.

I always liked this look, but my wife would never go for it.  You have to be careful though.  If you don't do it right or your finishes don't match, it can come out looking awful.

It feels a bit too cold and hospital like.  We have marble + glass tile and its held up alright.  We have it resealed every year and keep it pretty clean but I am always worried about the marble staining.  The glass never stains and is easy to wipe.
