When driving down Portola on the opposite side of Stonegate there looks to be a sports park being built, looks like a baseball field and bleachers in the early stages... Then again it could turn out to be a power plant, it's hard to tell exactly just yet.
 
Gateway park is north of Portola, but the question might be what's actually on the north-west corner of the SG village map which has a big open space (south-east corner of Jeffrey/Potola). Driving by Encore I see tall walls surrounding it so doesn't look like they are going to build houses there. Anyone knows what's building there?

Intersection of Portola and Jeffrey;
NW Corner: Future phases of Orchard Hills and Eddison Substation
NE Corner: Future Gateway Sports Park
SW Corner: Future Eastwood Village (old name NW Paseo/Planning Area 5B)
SE Corner: Jeffrey Open Space Trail/Stone Gate
 
On Portola between Sand Canyon and Jeffrey, is an IRWD project.  They decided to put in tennis courts and baseball field.  Your tax dollars for water use at work it seems.....

That is a private project paid for by Crean Lutheran HS.
