White granite options

Anyone have particularly stunning white marble in their kitchen and want to share what type of granite it is?

Our kitchen will be whites, grays, blacks and since I can't go with a marble counter due to durability I'm looking for a nice white granite to put into the kitchen.

I would steer away from marble in the kitchen.  Just too easy to permanently stain.  White granite or quartz countertops can look stunning in the kitchen with the right cabinetry, splash and flooring.  Check out Pinterest or Houzz for ideas.

You can also view this exact same countertop/backsplash in one of the models in Rancho Mission Viejo (Pulte or their counterparts development)

That one looks like quartz counters right?

I wanted to know some white granite names people like, ex Bianca antico, white ice etc. wanted to see if anyone loved a type of white granite they thought worked well in their kitchen

I'm visiting the slab yard tomorrow and need to pick one. Too many decisions...

Here's some pic from my granite hunting days.  I don't know which granite yard TM is using but Irvine Pacific use Arizona Tilehttp://www.arizonatile.com/and Marbolis http://www.marbolis.com/.  Both these granite yard are in Anaheim and provide very friendly service.  In hot day like this, they even offer sun umbrella for customer touring the granite yard.

Here's list of whit granite I'm aware of:  Alaska White, Alpine, White Spring, River White, Fantastic White, Colonial Creme, and may be Persa Avorio.

Here's some more pics.  Each Granite slab's pattern and color can varies a lot.  Also under outdoor lighting condition can make a big difference too.

Colonial Creme and Persa Avorio are more of creme or tan tone then others.  You can see Persa Avorio is one of Acadia's model home.

You might also take a look at this house USCTrojanCPA is current listing.  The owner use a white granite counter top with marble subway tile as back splash and it looks fantastic.  You might want to ask USCTrojanCPA to find out the name of the granite if you like the look of it.    http://www.32larkfield.com/  http://www.talkirvine.com/index.php/topic,12107.0.html

We have espresso cabinets with Bianco antico. We really like the contrast of the dark cabinets with the white of the granite. We didn't go with a whiter granite(granite that had more white) because we didn't want the contrast to be overwhelming.  We like the brown mixed into the granite that Bianco antico provides. Makes the contrast a little more subtle. We picked our slabs (five of them) at arizona tile in Ontario.

We also really liked Alaska

I'll post a pic later today. I already posted one somewhere on a thread

That Bianco antico and some of the other white granites look very elegant IMO.

Quartz is all the rage, but I find most quartz remind me of cheap Formica I see in apartments. I'd much rather go with a nice looking white granite.

here is our kitchen before we moved in.

Found another one from my files.

This one is kind of wild.  Its call Feldspar White and the one pictured is leather/satin finish.  It you not sure what leather/satin finish granite is, ask granite yard to show you one, it's pretty interesting.

Wow thanks INC and qwerty!

I'm going to take those suggestions with me to AZ tile tomorrow.

Qwerty that bianco antico looks more like black gray white - it must be a very dark brown in the granite? Anyway your kitchen looks awesome - I love the contrast.

The other option we were thinking is White Ice - what do you guys think about this one?

Our cabinets are light cream/ white color and back splash with grays and floor will be a darker espresso wood.

I have a feeling Paris is looking for a less busy pattern. Something more white with very light streaks/variances... like marble.

For granite, it's going to be what Inc posted... otherwise... if not marble, you have to go quartz to get a more consistent white counter.

EDIT: Well... if you are going white cabinets, its actually okay to have your counters be grayish. I would go for the more consistent granite than a busy one.

Thanks. It is dark brown. When I posted the pic I also noticed it looked grayish. That pic was with my old iPhone 4s. I'll post a couple in the morning that are more up close and you will be able to see the dark brown much better.

I like that color. Think it would look very good with your cabinet color and dark floors. We went with light floors because of the dark cabinets
