Congrats on your purchase.

I hate channeling Test, but your questions can be easily answered by doing a quick and dirty search.  Just plug in "landscaping" and "built in" or "trim" or "wainscoting".

@Tom_Irvine_Guy No, not an FCB.  Just went over budget.    :-[ Had planned on going standard and then remodeling after COE, but the standard options were so darn ugly.  Loved the look of the model home and wanted similar.  So started out upgrading here and there, like extra recessed lighting.  Then upgraded countertops, since we'd have to pay for labor to remove and then install new countertops after COE, we thought it would just be easier to upgrade.  Then not sure what happened but that started the chain of events where we  started upgrading the flooring etc.  Hate to say it but $135k was still being conservative.  We didn't get best or 'top of the line' products that we wanted.  It's just the cost of everything adds up.

Don't feel bad - $135k sounds about right after flooring. We're at close to $100k through design center without flooring and if we had included flooring then we'd be close to that as well. Flooring is the only thing we were doing after COE (not including landscape, windows etc) And we went conservative also because I agree, for an over $1mil home they sure do give you some really basic SH*T. And we didn't want to rip out a bunch of stuff after COE and have to null half our new home warranties.

Our first time with new purchase as well - realizing it's pretty damn expensive

+2.  The options keep adding up quickly.  Just the mandatory stuff like structural, electrical and plumbing gets you up there.
