range hood vents

We have an older Pacair the previous owner installed.  It's pretty strong but loud.  I would say going on 10+ years.  Not sure what kind of setup you have, wok? 6 burner?

Not broken, just want stainless steel to match the rest of my appliances.  Looking online, the Kitchenaid Architect's are close to a thousand.  The Whirlpool's and Frigidaire's are about half that price.  And none of them even come close to the 960 cfm (cubic feet per minute) power of Pacair's.  The most expensive Kitchenaid is around 600 cfm.  We don't cook much but also don't want to downgrade to a weaker unit.

Here's an old Pacair commercial I found on youtube:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAh72jOQqe8

The oil drip catch gets pretty nasty if you don't clean it often.  We also notice bugs get into it since it crawls thru the outside vent into the unit and down into the oil.
